Did You Know That You Don’t Need A Referral For PT? Find Out More About Direct Access!

Every state allows for evaluation and treatment from a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral with Direct Access legislation. Eliminating barriers results in more effective and quicker healthcare. Think about it. You wake up with an aching back that gets worse instead of better. You call the doctor and discover that you can’t be seen for three more days. That’s three more days of pain. With Direct Access to a physical therapist, you can see a physical therapist today and jump-start your recovery. The sooner you get to see a PT, the sooner you’ll be on the road to feeling better. Plus, it saves you money and allows you to get back to your regular lifestyle more quickly. Direct Access is all about making personal choice without regulations. It puts you in the driver’s seat of your own healthcare.
Testimonials
I would highly recommend him.
Mike Morgan is one of the most professional PT I have ever know. I have recommended him to many of my friends over the last 20 years. He is very good at diagnosing what is wrong and then fixing the problem.

The program really works, and you’re a great teacher.
Yesterday I shot an 82 at Sterling Farms in Stamford. I owe it all to you and the Body Balance program. Ok, maybe not all; I did have something to do with it. However, it was 10 strokes better than I have ever shot at Sterling.

FAQs
Can I benefit from PT treatments?
Sure you can! Everyone can benefit from physical therapy. By working with you and your doctor, we can discuss your options and help determine if physical therapy will be the right choice for you. Call us today to discuss your current condition or request an appointment now.
Can I continue seeing a therapist even when I feel better?
Yes, once you have completed your therapy sessions, your therapist will review your at-home continuing therapy program. We can also discuss a post-rehab program for you with our personal trainer that can be done under the supervision of your therapist in our facility.
We can also make arrangements to meet you at your gym to work with you on determining what equipment may be beneficial, and what exercises would be helpful in your continued recovery.
Do you treat my condition at your clinic?
Rest assured, our therapists are well trained to evaluate and treat your condition.
All of our physical therapists have received university degrees from accredited physical therapy programs and are licensed by the State of Connecticut. Depending upon the university’s physical therapy program, each of our physical therapists has achieved either a master’s or doctorate level degree.
Physical therapists have years of university-level training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology (the study of joint movement), neurology, and many of the other medical sciences. You’re in good hands!
Do PT treatments hurt?
The saying “no pain, no gain”, in general, does not apply to physical therapy. Good communication with your therapist will help minimize any discomfort. We want you on your way to quick pain relief and back to normal activities.
Physical therapy is not meant to hurt, but to relieve pain! There is a chance, however, as you restore your mobility that your pain levels will fluctuate. You might experience some temporary soreness from using muscles that are weakened or recovering. Rest assured that this is a normal response to physical therapy treatment and not a cause for concern.
